Danger Power Ranger debut takes inspiration from anime perv
Danger Power Ranger finds inspiration for his debut mixtape from places as peculiar as his stage name
What do you get when you cross an anime perv and the greatest kids programme of all-time with 90s hip hop? Danger Power Ranger – but you have nothing to be weary of.
The latest addition to the Milk Fam gang, Danger – as he’s known for short – has his sights set on bringing 90s hip hop back. His first effort, single, “God Complex”, takes you back to a time when the world realised that here was genre that was not only here to stay but here to disrupt everything. The question existing then is what will this young rapper do to the game?
His forthcoming mixtape, Young Hentai, chronicles “the misadventures of a young anime fanatic who is a pervert”. Noting the dangers (sorry – couldn’t resist) of analysing chapters out of context, “God Complex” is Hentai’s “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” anthem. Whatever it may actually be, we live for artists with doppelganger-esque alter egos or character – and it’s probably fair to say that Danger Power Ranger will rap vicariously through his fictional character on the forthcoming record.
Complexes and speculation aside – for now. Stream “God Complex” below and check back soon for all the latest on Danger Power Ranger.
